Street Style - Gentlemen's finest

I walked passed him on Monday evening at the Raleigh hotel after watching the Wildfox show. I complimented him on his impeccable outfit as we chatted pool side, so naturally I had to document his outfit. Days before, I had seen him around the shows but always missed the opportunity to introduce myself. I think it's safe to say he was one of the best dressed male of the entire Mercedes Benz fashion week. Jhon proves it's all in details and weather is not an obstacle in keeping sharp.

Backstage at Wildfox

Backstage at Wildfox was yet another pretty amazing experience. I went a little overboard and shot so many pics while backstage but I just couldn't help myself. The cat eye makeup, colored wigs, and the mod feel had me snapping away. Not only were the models gorgeous, but also so very sweet and camera ready at all times - even when wearing hair nets. The theme for this show was James Bond inspired and the girls put on such a fun runway show.

Backstage at Mara Hoffman

I spotted the most amazing topsy turvy (remember that?) fishtail backstage I got to go backstage at Mara Hoffman and Wildfox (coincidently, the two must-see shows in my book) to cover some footage for Free People. I really enjoyed snapping shots of the craziness behind the curtains, it definitely gives you a new and very interesting perspective of all the necessary components to produce a successful runway show. The show titled, "Desert Outlaw Gypsies", had the most amazing styling and overall feel. It's safe to say I would join the band of gypsies if it meant spending my days running around in those magical aztec prints.

Swim Street Style - Refinery29

I love it when Miami dresses up! It's so fun to spot so many stylish ensembles (and no I'm not giving you a bad look, I'm just checking out your awesome outfit!) Style stalking is so fun when there's so many well dressed people walking around. Check out some of the amazing ladies I photographed this weekend for Refinery29.

Krystal Bick in Miami

Krystal and I, loads of fun: What happens when one of your top 5 favorite bloggers comes to your city, is at arm's distance from you and you can't help but introduce yourself in hopes of a good instagram photo opp? Well, in this case, much more.

I have been following Krystal Bick's blog for about two years now and I am a loyal fan and patron of her site. Long story short, I introduced myself to Krystal on Thursday night at the Soho Beach House - Style Saves event. I also took the opportunity to make Krystal feel welcome in Miami and asked her if she wanted to collaborate on an outfit post. Krystal said yes, and the rest is history.

We shot two looks and I'm so thrilled I got to know Krystal. Not only is she an inspiration and so successful at what she does, but she's way cool and down to earth. It was definitely another great moment this Miami Swim Week had in store.

Shooting for Free People

My swim week experience was definitely a memorable one. Not only did I get to go to shows and play fashion junkie all day, but I also I got an amazing opportunity to collaborate with Free People. Yes, Free People! I was hired to shoot for their blog documenting street style during Miami swim week as well as designer interviews of upcoming swimwear lines they'll be carrying and backstage footage at Mara Hoffman and Wildfox. Working alongside the lovely Free People girls was a real treat, they really made my job all the more enjoyable. It was an amazing weekend and I'm so happy to have collaborated with Free People, it was definitely a hard earned wish come true.

So, last week was actually week 16 of our project but the anticipation of swim week and the back-to-back events kept me out and about, so now is when I'm getting around to posting this. I absolutely loved shooting this look that Annie styled using one of our favorite lines, Wildfox. This Monday, we got to witness the amazing Wildfox swimwear show, featuring 2013's upcoming collection. I seriously love this brand, so hard. Also, how amazing is this El Dorado '73 Cadillac? A car like this is the ultimate prop in my book.
